The preschool's old website was hard to manage, and the team struggled to make even simple updates. That made it difficult to keep families in the loop, and there was no easy way to add the kind of everyday content parents enjoy, like the term newsletter or a favourite recipe from the preschool kitchen.
Jess and the team also wanted to make enrolling easier. Forms weren't available online, so families had more steps to get through before their child could start. Above all, they wanted a site that felt like Kooty itself: warm, playful and grounded in the natural setting and community connections the preschool is proud of.
Rhythm Digital designed a bright, friendly site in Webflow using soft pastel colours and playful shapes. The preschool's two classrooms are named the Mirii Room (star) and Gilay Room (moon), after the Gamilaroi meaning of Kootingal, 'starry night', so we carried stars and moons through the design to tie it all together.
Families can explore the classrooms and outdoor space, read about the preschool's history and philosophy, and meet each educator on the team page. Newsletters and recipes run through Webflow's CMS, so staff can add a new term newsletter or another 'Kooty Kitchen' recipe in a few minutes without calling anyone.
We also brought the enrolment process online, with digital forms that make it easier for families to get started, alongside clear calls to book a tour or get in touch.
Kooty Preschool now has a website that feels as welcoming as walking through its gate. Parents can see the spaces their children will learn and play in, catch up on what's happening each term and start the enrolment process from home.
Just as importantly, the team can keep it current themselves, so the site keeps growing with every newsletter and recipe they add.
