Walters Fencing is an innovative, family-owned rural fencing business and fencing equipment manufacturer, based near Tamworth in the North West region of New South Wales, Australia.
Walters Fencing had grown into two businesses in one. Alongside the fence construction work, they were making their own wire spinners, wire winders, post racks and other equipment, first for their own crews and then for the many people who asked to buy it. Their online presence wasn't set up to handle both sides properly.
James and the team wanted a site that made it easy for customers to find either the fencing services or the products they were after, and a simpler way to sell equipment online and manage orders without double handling. They also wanted somewhere to share the videos their followers enjoy.
Rhythm Digital built a new Shopify website for Walters Fencing, structured so visitors can head straight to the fencing shop or the fencing services. The homepage features the stars of the range, such as the Blue Jen II wire spinner and the PR25 post rack, with prices and stock levels clear at a glance.
The online shop is connected with Xero, giving the team an easier way to fulfil orders and keep the books in step. A videos section lets them share tutorials and behind-the-scenes clips from the factory and the paddock, and the About page tells the family story, from Stephen on the crowbar and shovel and Narelle running the office to the Westdale factory.
Contact details and FAQs are easy to find, so customers can get answers before they buy.
Walters Fencing now has a website that sells its Australian-made equipment to customers anywhere in the country while still showcasing the contracting side of the business. Orders flow through more easily for the team, and the videos give followers a real look at the gear in action, out in the paddock where it belongs.
