The Challenge

The Challenge

Intimacy is a normal part of life, but for people with an injury or disability it's often left out of the conversation. Louise saw that gap through years of prescribing wheelchairs, shower chairs and home modifications: there was a clear pathway for most equipment, and almost none for this. Focus on Intimacy was her answer, and as a brand-new business it needed a website built from scratch.

The brief was a careful one. The store had to present sensitive products respectfully, feeling neither clinical nor like an adult shop. It had to work for people shopping for themselves, for family and support workers, and for clinicians ordering on someone's behalf. And because many purchases are funded, it needed a way to handle quotes and funding-body invoicing alongside a normal checkout, with stock coming from two different suppliers.

The Solution

The Solution

Rhythm Digital built the store on Shopify with a premium theme, styled around Louise's warm terracotta, aubergine and sand palette. Real lifestyle photography leads the way, product imagery is kept tasteful, and every order ships in plain, discreet packaging. Products are grouped by what the body needs, such as grip, reach or sensation, rather than by diagnosis, so nobody has to label themselves just to browse.

Behind the storefront, both supplier catalogues sync automatically through Stock Sync, with each supplier set up as its own location so mixed orders ship correctly. Any product page can produce a formal quote with ABN, GST and shipping included, ready for a clinician to send to the funding body, and the site explains the funding process in plain language for the NDIS, workers compensation and other schemes across Australia. Product details sit in tidy tabs, and dedicated pages cover funding, prescribers, FAQs and resources.

We also wrote keyword-led page titles and meta descriptions, set up Google Analytics and Search Console, and checked indexing once the store went public.

The Result

The Result

Focus on Intimacy launched in August 2026 with a store that feels calm, welcoming and professional, and treats a sensitive subject with the dignity it deserves. Customers can shop privately, clinicians have a simple way to request quotes, and stock and pricing stay up to date without Louise having to manage them by hand.

Since launch we've continued to support Louise with new products and store updates as the business grows.
